A story idea that I need some help fleshing out. Essentially the antagonist's of the story are a multiverse-spanning corporation (run by a Lovecraftian pantheon known as the Board of Executives), trying to conquer Earth through economic means so they can harvest every resource they can use/profit from, including people. The main character (one of them, anyway) is analogous to Lex Luthor (and I’m imagining his Mercy Graves equivalent as also a female equivalent of Bane) who, most likely through business dealings between the corporation he runs and a company the invading corporation is using as a front, discovers what’s going on and gets the Legion of Doom analogue, and probably a few mercenary supervillains, together to save the world. My questions:
What exactly would economic conquest by a multiversal corporation look like?
How specifically would it make sense for not!Luthor to find out what’s going on?
