Irresistible, Chapter 4: Of All the Pizza Places...

I woke up hours later, still in an orgasmic haze, with my head sandwiched between two large, soft pillows. As my mind adjusted to what happened, I realized my head was, in fact, between Ren's breasts. She had apparently lowered me down onto her body and made me the little spoon in a floating cuddle. As comfortable as I was, my stomach grumbled its discontent. It had been quite a while since breakfast.

"Ren?"

"Yes, lover?"

"That was incredible."

"It pleases me that you approve."

"Um… now that I'm awake, I'm starving. Want to grab a bite to eat?"

"That is acceptable. I have been curious about your 'pizza place' since we traveled to the clothing store."

"Okay, cool. Do you want to eat there?"

"Yes."

"Alright, we'll get ready and go. Um… you'll have to put me down, though… and I need a shower… and to put these bedsheets in the wash…"

"If you insist."

The Downtown Pizza Company is a charming little restaurant and bar in the heart of downtown with almost a film noir feel to it. Dark woods, just enough light, smooth jazz, and a beautifully appointed bar area made the place a delight, even if it was a bit cramped. More importantly, their pizza was excellent. New York style with lots of topping options, too, from humbler options like pepperoni and mushrooms to more extravagant choices like capicola and capers, even having such options as apple, octopus, and smoked salmon. More importantly, it was affordable. Perfect for a foodie on a budget, or a grad student looking for a nice date spot.

Since we were showing up between the lunch rush and dinner, we had the place to ourselves. The waiter who normally seated everyone was off duty, given the "please seat yourself" sign, so I grabbed two menus and led Ren over to a window table. Seeing her duck to get through the smaller side-door frame was quite a thrill, I must admit. After getting Ren seated (no mean feat given her sheer presence), I sat down and looked over the menu.

"Do you want to try to order your own pizza, or would you like to share mine?"

"I will share yours. I trust your judgement."

"When it comes to food, you can pretty much always trust a fat guy. I'll get us an extra-large, so there will be plenty."

Around that time, the waiter on duty walked up, and we ordered soft drinks and an extra-large pizza with capicola, pancetta, and feta (I know, mixing Greek cheese with Italian meats seems weird, sue me, it's delicious). While we waited for our dinner, Ren decided it was her turn to ask me questions.

"Is this what is referred to as a 'date'?"

"Um, well… yes, I suppose it is. Eating dinner together with someone you… have a romantic interest in is a pretty common type of date."

"This means that you have a romantic interest in me, yes?"

"Well, yeah. I wouldn't have done all that today if I didn't."

"I am pleased to hear this. Do you believe Astrid is alright?"

"That's… a sudden change of topic. Why do you ask?"

"Astrid has repeated the phrase 'oh goddess' several times today in a rather strained voice. I am concerned about her."

"Um… I have a suspicion. Did you hear anything else when she said that?"

"Yes, a rapid sound like the flicking of water."

"Yep, that explains it."

"What is it?"

"She's… really into you."

"I do not understand."

"How do I put this… you said I was 'irresistible' to you, remember?"

"Of course."

"I'm pretty sure Astrid pictures you the same way."

"Oh. Is that acceptable to you?"

"I suppose so. I mean, who wouldn't be smitten with you?"

"Hmmm. I had hoped to blend in more effectively. I suppose it cannot be helped."

"I suppose it can't."

At that point, our pizza arrived. For her part, Ren needed very little coaching this time on how to eat, although she still hadn't learned to let things cool off first.

"How is it, Ren?"

"It is very pleasant. Thank you for sharing this experience with me."

"You're very welcome."

Suddenly, our evening's pleasantries were interrupted by a shrill voice.

"YOU! What are you doing here!?"

Oh no. Not her. Not like this.

I turned to my right, knowing exactly who I'd see. That voice could only belong to one person.

"Oh. Hello, Erika."

"What are you doing here!? I specifically told you to stay out of my town!"

"…I live here too, you know."

"Unbelievable!"

Ren looked at me, a mix of curiosity and anger playing across her face.

"Who is this person?"

"Oh, sorry. Ren, this is Erika, my… my ex."

I saw Ren's eyes glow for a second before returning to normal. She turned to glare at Erika.

"You will treat him with respect. He has been nothing but respectful in speaking about you."

"You talked about me!? How DARE you!"

"Please, Erika, let's not do this. We're just here eating pizza. This restaurant is big enough for all of us."

"Not on your life! I wouldn't eat here knowing they'd serve someone like you. Come, Marci. We're leaving."

I then noticed Erika's best friend-turned-lover Marci holding several pizza boxes. Apparently, they had ordered takeout.

"Hi, Marci. Long time no see."

"Hey. Come on, Erika, let's go. This isn't worth it."

"You're right. He's not worth it. Let's get out of here."

With that, Erika turned on her heel and began stomping her way to the door. When I turned to Ren to apologize, she was looking towards Erika and pursing her lips. A sudden cold chill came over me as Ren blew a gust of air towards Erika. The sound of an impact between body and floor turned my attention back to Erika. Erika had apparently tripped somehow and fallen flat on her ass, or lack thereof. A small faintly shiny spot on the floor nearby caught my attention for a moment.

That must be the culprit… but it wasn't there before, was it?

I turned to Ren to ask what she had done, only to notice her eyes' quickly fading glow. Assessing the situation, I began whispering so only Ren could possibly hear.

"Did you do that?"

A small wink confirmed my suspicions.

"That really wasn't necessary."

By this point, Marci was helping Erika back to her feet. I looked again for the shiny spot, but I couldn't find it. Since Erika seemed to be okay, I waited until she and Marci were out of the restaurant before speaking again.

"What did you do?"

"I simply caused an icy spot to form beneath Erika's foot, then melted it."

Simply, she says.

"How did you melt it… oh, right, probably your eyes. You really didn't need to do that, you know."

"She is fortunate that I chose not to do more. She treated you terribly."

"I know, but I probably deserve it."

"You do not."

"I… sorry. Our breakup messed me up pretty bad on top of my other mental problems. I guess I'm still a mess, huh?"

"You are not a mess. You are a good person."

"If you say so. It's getting dark. Want to go back to the apartment? We'll take the rest of the pizza as leftovers."

"May we engage in our earlier activities? Those were quite enjoyable."

"Um… I had sort of thought about just cuddling on the couch and watching a movie, maybe? Is that okay?"

"That would also be acceptable. I have never seen a 'movie'."

"I'll find a good one for us, don't worry."

After we paid the check, we walked back towards the car. As we did, we passed by an older model Jeep. I stopped, knowing exactly who it belonged to.

"They must be at Jackson's apartment. Great."

"To whom do you refer?"

"Erika and Marci. Their friend Jackson has an apartment near here, I think."

Ren frowned.

"This vehicle belongs to Erika?"

"Yup. She's had it for as long as I've known her."

"Give me a moment."

The way she said it, I knew it wasn't meant as a request. Ren walked to the front of the Jeep.

"The power source for this vehicle is here?"

"Uh… yes, that's where the engine is on most cars. Technically, the power source is gasoline, but the engine… makes it go."

My admittedly stupid explanation was cut short by Ren kicking one leg out to the side and upwards in a semicircle, such that her thigh was between her breasts and her heel was now above her head.

Man, that's sexy… wait, Ren doesn't wear any underwear—

Ren then brought her heel down in a perfectly executed axe kick directly through the hood of Erika's Jeep. The hood was cut in half as Ren's slicing motion impacted the engine block, breaking all the motor linkages and driving the engine block deep into the pavement. As the airbags went off in Erika's Jeep, Ren walked back to me, took my hand, and began walking to my car. I did my best to follow with a blood supply having fully gone south.

Quit your job, lose all your friends, lock yourself in a room and just keep churning out more chapters of this, please.

That's not too much to ask, is it? I said "please".

Really fun series. Thank you.

And so we meet Erika… seems like she’s the one that’s messed up from their break up, and not him.

I’m starting to wonder whether Ren is either and angel or an alien of some kind. Either could explain her powers, but she also seems to have sense...

I’m starting to wonder whether Ren is either and angel or an alien of some kind. Either could explain her powers, but she also seems to have sense for right and wrong…
